This is the first edition of Hotel. It is distinguished by a large dark box, made by very light cardboard which is easy to be torn. The small drawing put in the center recalls all of the eight main buildings of the hotels.
The inside of the box is well tidy with a plastic partition. The table instead is very tight and resistant, and the designers had the great idea to make several grooves to put inside the buildings, so that they won't move or collapse in the case of accidental movement of the table during the match.
The entrances have a funny writing "HOTEL ENTRANCE" to avoid "confusion" between the newbies. The cars have a typical 70s design, they remind me the Simca's. The buildings are quite simple, with same roofs shape, just with different colors. The deeds have an elegant style, folded in two.
I think everything is good in this version except the dimensions of the box (due to the unfolded table) which make the game difficult to be put safe in your closet.
